About Sarah

 

I am a mother to two beautiful boys, and a photographer in my heart. 

I've loved photography since I was a kid, and I've photographed so many things over the years, but nothing compares to the adrenaline that I feel when I shoot a wedding.

When a bride sees her veil in her hair for the first time and she now realizes that this “day” is really happening, seeing her dad’s expression on his face when he sees his little girl in her wedding dress for the first time, watching the grooms eyes fill with tears as he watches his soon to be wife  walk down the isle towards him, seeing the pride a father feels as he hands his daughters hand to another man for him to now look after, and watching the tears roll down a mother's  cheek as she watches this all happen...  there are so many moments like this during a wedding day, and it's a privilege to witness each one of them and a true honour to photograph them.

It is one thing for me to be able to watch all this happen from behind a camera but being able to give a couple these moments captured in their images and to have these emotions in their photos is why I am a photographer. 15 years later and over 300 weddings later, I still get the same rush when a bride walks down the aisle or when I can tell how much a couple loves just by the way to look into each other’s eyes.  It’s addictive! And I truly believe in my heart that it is what I was meant to do.

Everything from our first meeting to receiving our final CD of wedding pictures was perfect. Sarah always responded to questions/inquiries quickly. She was fun to work with. Our engagement shoot was quick because of the looming rain but we still got a lot of pictures and we absolutely loved them all. Our wedding day she captured every moment and feeling, to the point where we look at our photos now we can remember exactly the feeling/emotion that we had as the picture was being snapped. After the wedding, we received our pictures promptly and our wedding album doubled in size because we couldn't choose which ones we liked more!! Sarah was a good photographer. We really like the photos and will be looking forward to sharing them with our families. There was a pre-consultation and then two separate photo shoots. She was on time and carried on a professional and adaptive attitude during photo shoots (serious when it mattered, and playful when subjects were playful). Photo-journalistic style made Sarah's presence unnoticeable in most situations. Photo posing was chore for the subjects and Sarah's guidance was beneficial in trying to capture the moment. The candid shots were great and captured the real bride and groom. Flexibility was paramount during the main photo shoot on the wedding day. Lot's of patience was required and understanding as well.

Jon and I had the pleasure of having Sarah as our wedding photographer for our wedding.  Sarah not only delivered beautiful pictures of our special day that we can cherish forever, but she also did it with professionalism and kindness. Sarah was fantastic! Reliable, professional, creative, on time, easy to work with, outgoing, proficient and most of all made me feel at ease. She traveled several hours to shoot my wedding, arrived with plenty of time to spare and I had nothing to worry about. We had a wonderful experience with Sarah in the last year! She did our engagement photos in the spring - we had a really great time getting to know her during these pictures and she made a beautiful guest book for our wedding out of the pictures. Leading up to the wedding, Sarah was great to work with, and was so calming during such a busy time! We had a great time with her and her second photographer (who was also very professional). She made the photos fun for us and our wedding party, and had a sneak peek ready for us when we got back from our honeymoon. Sarah got our whole package of pictures back to us well ahead of the promised deadline and the pictures were so amazing. We recently moved to Kingston & we're getting ready to celebrate our baby girls first birthday.
